Barr Transportation General Contract Terms & Conditions
By booking a charter or submitting payment, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this document. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you (“the Customer”) and Barr Transportation, LLC (“the Company” or “Carrier”).


Estimates and Pricing

  • Estimate Validity: The pricing provided in this quote is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. Rates and policies are subject to change after this period.
  • Final Pricing: The total price is based on the specific services requested at the time of booking and may be adjusted if additional services or time are required.

Trip Confirmation

  • To confirm your trip, you must either sign the form, or accept using the companies software. Services will not be scheduled, and your trip is not confirmed until we receive the this and send a confirmation receipt.
  • Barr Transportation reserves the right to accept other bookings for your requested date if confirmation is delayed. Should other work be accepted as a result, we will not be liable for any inconvenience or loss.
  • Once confirmation is received, a detailed contract will be sent for your review and signature. You may return the signed form via email, fax, mail, or in person.

Payment Terms

  • Deposit: A deposit of $200 or 30% of the total cost (whichever is greater) is required within two weeks of the reservation confirmation to hold the booking.
  • Final Payment: The remaining balance is due no later than two weeks before the trip departure date.
  • Cancellation:
    • Cancellations made 15 days or more before departure will receive a full refund of the deposit and any payments made.
    • Cancellations made within 14 days of departure will result in forfeiture of the total cost.

Cancellation Policy

  • Short-Notice Cancellation:
    • Trips canceled within 24 hours of departure are subject to a fee equal to the paid deposit.
    • If no deposit has been paid, a fee of $250 or 5% of the total estimated trip cost (whichever is greater) will be charged.
  • Confirmation: All cancellations must be confirmed by contacting our office via phone or email.

  • Barr Transportation reserves the right to cancel any trip due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to mechanical issues, driver availability, unsafe weather conditions, or other factors beyond our control.
  • In the event of a cancellation initiated by Barr Transportation, all payments, including deposits, will be refunded in full.
  • Barr Transportation will not be liable for any indirect costs, inconvenience, or losses incurred as a result of the cancellation.

Vehicle Usage and Additional Charges

  • Lot Time: Barr Transportation reserves the right to charge up to 1 hour before departure and 1 hour after trip completion for “Lot Time” to account for vehicle preparation and travel.
  • Overtime Use: If the vehicle is used beyond the contracted time, you will be charged per full hour at a rate specified in the contract. Final charges will be invoiced within 72 hours of trip completion.

Responsibility for Belongings

  • Barr Transportation is not responsible for lost or left-behind items. Passengers are responsible for removing all personal belongings from the vehicle at the end of the trip.

Cleanliness and Damage Policy

  • Cleanliness: Excessive messes left in the vehicle (e.g., food spills, trash, or damage beyond normal use) will incur a $250 cleaning fee, per vehicle.
  • Damage: Any damages to the vehicle (e.g., vandalism, broken seats, windows) will be invoiced to the Customer, with payment due within 15 days of the invoice date. Documentation, including photos or videos, will be provided to support the charges.

Alcohol Policy

  • If alcohol is permitted, the Customer is responsible for ensuring all consumption is responsible. Unruly or unsafe behavior may result in termination of service. Alcohol left behind will be discarded.

Liability

  • Barr Transportation does not guarantee exact arrival or departure times but will make every effort to maintain the schedule.
  • The Company is not liable for delays or cancellations due to acts of God, road conditions, mechanical issues, or other circumstances beyond its control.
  • Any additional costs (e.g., meals, lodging, alternative transportation) resulting from such delays are the responsibility of the Customer.

Video and Audio Recording Notice

  • Barr Transportation vehicles are equipped with video and audio recording systems for safety and documentation

Driver Gratuity

  • Drivers receive 100% of gratuities provided. Customers may also provide additional cash gratuities directly to the driver on the day of the trip.

Objectionable Passengers

  • Barr Transportation reserves the right to refuse service to passengers under the influence of drugs or alcohol or those whose behavior endangers the safety or comfort of others. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all vehicles.

Governing Law

This contract is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Barr Transportation reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
